Podcast 122 8/18/14

Benfica's Salvio celebrates his goal against Pacos de Ferreira during their Portuguese Premier League soccer match in LisbonIn this week’s episode….

We get the podcast going by looking back at Benfica’s first season opening win in 10 years. A 2-0 win against Pacos Ferreira was enough to keep the momentum going and to break the season opener slump. A decent performance by Benfica, which doesn’t mask the inability of our front line to put away the ball. We offer our opinions on the game, ponder a change up front and even a formation change.
Next up, we look back as LFV’s interview to Benfica TV, where he touched up on the BES situation, and how it affects Benfica; Buys, sales, loans, and the club’s future. We offer our takes on the interview, and call out LFV on a few things.
Lastly, we look ahead to the Boavista game, where Benfica will have to play in an artificial pitch, and cant be looking past newly promoted Boavista.
