On this week’s podcast…
We take a look back at Benfica’s game for the Portuguese Cup against Rio Ave, that dictated Benfica’s elimination from the competition. A good first half in which the team showed levels of intensity, and character. Unfortunately it couldn’t be matched in the second half, and the team exited their second competition in that many weeks. We then discuss the 5-1 trashing of Tondela, which was a sort of continuation of the first half against Rio Ave. Lastly we look ahead to the League Cup against Portimonense where Benfica has very little room to maneuver.
